Welcome to the College Stores Association of North Carolina's (CSA-NC) web site. As we embrace our 39th year serving the college store industry, one thing has made itself very clear in 2007-08. Our industry faces a myriad of challenges that our association founders never dreamed of in 1970. For years we have discussed a shift in the paradigm in our future. As we move into 2008, that day is upon us. The advancement of technology is moving us at a feverish pace in the 21st century. We serve a generation that was born with a mouse in one hand and a keyboard in the other.

 

Our association's focus back in the seventies was mostly books and supplies. Today, our horizons have broadened to e-books and

i-pods and much more. Therefore, we must be ever learning, our stores must be ever evolving, and our association must be ever ready to provide relevant opportunities for professional enhancement to meet the challenges we face today.

 

CSA-NC is a body of college and university bookstores in North Carolina committed to our mission of providing excellent service and support to the college store industry. It is with this mission in mind that I would like to invite you to join us in High Point, NC at the Radisson Hotel (www.radisson.com) for our Annual Meeting. The dates are November 10-12, 2008. If you are interested in joining us, there is information within the web site to allow you to do so.

 

I look forward to a successful year as we build on a great legacy. Our association stands tall in participation, growth, and commitment. Our strength is in our education and our diverse programming. I join with the board as we commit to leading our great association in 2008.
